About the Opportunity

The 1000 NSW Public Sector Apprentices and Trainees Program is offering two exciting 24-month traineeships in Certificate IV in Business with the Office of Sport. Two positions are offered, with one of the roles designated for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified candidate.

 

Locations

You’ll rotate across several vibrant Office of Sport locations:

  • Penrith Whitewater Stadium – Cranebrook, New South Wales
  • Office of Sport Head Office – Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales

 

What You’ll Do

Penrith Whitewater Stadium - Role Description

  • Office-based support role using technology to manage business operations with a focus on accuracy and detail
  • Involves direct customer service and client liaison across phone and in-person interactions
  • Handles administrative tasks using Excel, Word, finance tools, booking systems, and other applications
  • Supports event coordination through attendee registration, fee collection, and on-site admin assistance

People and Culture Trainee – Identified - Role Description

  • Office-based position using technology, focused on strong attention to detail
  • Involves direct interaction with employees and candidates across various HR functions
  • Provides support in recruitment, health and safety, learning and development, and HR systems
  • Handles admin tasks, email communication, training delivery, and project-based work using tools like Excel and Word

Important Information

Please note the Penrith Whitewater Stadium Traineeship is a child-related position. You’ll need to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and undergo a National Criminal Records Check before employment can be confirmed.
