The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) is seeking a visionary executive to lead our Technology and Governance function. This is your opportunity to shape the digital and technology direction of the Department, driving innovation and collaboration to deliver real business outcomes and better services for the people of NSW.
About the Role
As the Director Technology and Governance, this role is all about leading the Department’s digital strategy and governance, making sure it lines up with the bigger picture for DPHI. You’ll work closely with business leaders to co-design digital programs, drive innovation, and implement governance controls and practices. You’ll need to juggle competing demands, balance new and existing technologies, and keep up with industry best practice.
Operating in a complex and fast-paced environment, you will balance the needs of diverse stakeholders, promote a customer service approach, and resolve complex challenges through innovative solutions. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing a mature digital function including automation and artificial intelligence (AI).

Essential requirements
- Degree qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
