As an Assistant Business Support Advisor, you’ll play an important role in supporting the financial and business operations of our Corporate and Enabling Services – Group Finance team.

You’ll help ensure financial data accuracy, support budget and forecasting activities, and contribute to efficient business performance aligned with DCCEEW’s corporate goals and government priorities.

 

In this role, you’ll:

  • Prepare reconciliations and monthly journals to maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with month-end and year-end processes to support reporting accuracy
  • Manage inter-agency and partnership invoicing to ensure timely transactions
  • Provide data and responses for audits and financial compliance
  • Contribute to testing and improvement of finance systems and processes
  • Collaborate with your team and stakeholders to enhance business performance

About You

We are seeking somebody who is organised, proactive and ready to contribute to a fast-paced finance environment. You will bring a basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes, as well as strong analytical and Excel skills.

You will also have strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, as well as the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage competing deadlines. A collaborative approach and a focus on delivering quality service are necessary for success.
