About the role

 

The National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Manager, Reserve Establishment Plan to manage the development and delivery of large scale complex multiple projects to support the achievement of NSW Government and corporate outcomes. The role involves planning, scoping, resourcing, stakeholder consultation and key milestone reporting within a defined program of work. The Manager, Reserve Establishment Plan will ensure completion of defined projects within agreed timeframes, quality standards, at or below budget, in compliance with project management best practice standards.

 

The Manager, Reserve Establishment Plan will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects, including risk and contingency management.

 

Key duties include leading and motivating multidisciplinary project teams to establish and maintain a culture of teamwork, achievement, accountability and outcomes focus to support the achievement of projects.

 

 

About you

You are an experienced leader with a proven ability to guide and connect teams toward achieving complex project objectives. You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing competing priorities while fostering collaboration and accountability. You are skilled at motivating diverse teams, building a culture of achievement and engaging stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes. You are confident in setting priorities, making operational decisions, and exercising delegated authority to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You are able to see the big picture, identify interdependencies, and develop innovative solutions to environmental and community challenges. You are comfortable interpreting environmental data, applying spatial analysis and translating complex insights into practical actions. You demonstrate integrity, collaboration and a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of work.

 

Essential requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience along with strong organisational skills to plan, manage and deliver multiple projects on time and within resources.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of financial, governance and risk management standards and practices associated with project management.
