The Credit Transactions Team is seeking an Assistant Project Officer to perform critical statutory functions and support associated projects. The role involves undertaking day-to-day tasks across a range of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) regulatory and strategic areas, including the application of legislative responsibilities, conservation and biodiversity management, resource efficiency and clean energy, planning and assessment, water management, community engagement, customer service, compliance and licensing. This position contributes to achieving corporate objectives while ensuring effective delivery of statutory and strategic initiatives.
About You
You’re a proactive and collaborative professional who works effectively under the guidance of supervisors, seeking input and referring complex issues to specialist staff as required. You have the ability to review regional or branch issues and provide practical, innovative recommendations aligned with DCCEEW policies and guidelines.
You hold tertiary qualifications in environmental education, science communication, environmental management, environmental science, planning, environmental engineering, archaeology or a related field. You’re organised, attentive to detail and possess a current driver’s license, enabling you to travel as required to support program and project delivery.
