  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $149,739 to $173,174 pa + super

Our Corporate Affairs Division is seeking to appoint an Executive Officer to support the Executive Director - Corporate Affairs. This is an opportunity for you to step into a trusted and influential role at the centre of executive decision-making, where your work will directly shape how the division operates and delivers on its priorities. In this role, you will provide high-level executive, secretariat and project support, including the preparation of clear, accurate and timely briefings, correspondence, reports and submissions.

You will act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, coordinate executive communications and ensure priorities and deadlines are effectively managed. Using your sound judgement and analytical capability, you will research complex matters, provide strategic advice, manage emerging issues and contribute to projects that support organisation-wide objectives.

You will also play a key role in implementing and monitoring strategic and operational plans and in strengthening administrative systems and processes to improve efficiency, manage risk and deliver high-quality outcomes.

About you
You are an experienced and trusted executive professional who operates comfortably with a high level of autonomy and exercises sound judgement when managing competing priorities. You are accountable for the quality, integrity and accuracy of your advice and you consistently deliver clear, well-considered and timely outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You are adept at setting priorities, managing workloads and maintaining focus to ensure reliable and high-quality delivery.

You bring extensive experience in providing high-quality business and executive support, with a proven ability to draft complex reports, submissions, briefings and correspondence for senior leaders. You offer strong project management capability, including applying structured methodologies, prioritising deliverables, evaluating outcomes and identifying opportunities to improve business performance. Your sound understanding of government operations, parliamentary processes and public sector administration enables you to navigate complex environments with confidence and provide practical, strategic advice that supports effective decision-making.
