The role

As a Performance Analyst, your focus is on helping the team understand how councils are performing in both the short and long term, while making sure they meet their statutory obligations and uphold strong probity and due‑diligence standards. The work involves digging into performance data, analysing trends, and turning that information into practical recommendations, clear briefs and well‑structured correspondence that support evidence‑based decisions. You’ll build constructive relationships with councils, so they receive timely, accurate advice and feel supported throughout the review process.

You’ll be challenged in a fast‑moving and often complex environment, therefore you’ll be confident in balancing competing priorities while staying across ongoing local government reforms and emerging issues. By contributing ideas that strengthen team systems, policies and processes, the position plays an active part in improving operational efficiency and ensuring the broader review function continues to adapt and respond effectively to change.
