  • TRP of $312,184 up to $349,603. This is a total remuneration package inclusive of superannuation and other benefits. 

 

 

About the role 
This is your opportunity to influence outcomes at the highest level and make a lasting impact on Sport and Recreation service delivery and customer experience across NSW. 

In the role of Executive Director, Centres and Venues, you will provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Office’s operational and service delivery and lead a committed group of Senior leaders, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities. You will deliver timely, high-quality strategic and operational advice on critical issues arising from customer and operational activity, enabling informed decision-making, programs of improvement and consistent external communication. You will drive performance standards and continuous improvement and evolution across all operational programs and services. 

You will lead the strategic direction for the Office’s infrastructure, facilities, venues, and Recreation Centres, fostering operational excellence and innovation, as well as developing effective financial planning and budget management. This is your opportunity to work alongside a highly collaborative Executive team to influence and deliver outcomes at the highest level and make a lasting impact on Sport and Recreation service delivery and customer experience across NSW.

About you  

Our ideal candidate will bring to the role: 

  • Experience driving operational excellence across complex service environments, with a strong record of improving performance, service quality, systems and processes. 

  • Experience providing strategic leadership that shapes direction, builds confidence and delivers measurable outcomes across diverse or multi‑site operations. 

  • Ability to exercise strong judgement and make well‑informed decisions, with the confidence to respond effectively in dynamic, complex or sensitive environments. 

  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, with the capability to identify opportunities, embed better ways of working and achieve sustained uplift in performance and service quality. 

  • A track record of building high‑performing teams, with demonstrated success in developing capability, strengthening alignment and embedding a culture where people feel empowered, accountable, engaged and supported to deliver meaningful outcomes
