The role
Step into a role where you’ll be the friendly face of the Garden Shop—welcoming visitors, helping them choose from our curated product range, and making sure every interaction feels warm, easy, and memorable. You’ll play a key part in driving sales, supporting day‑to‑day store operations, and keeping our displays looking great and aligned with seasonal themes.
You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced, visitor‑focused environment where every day is different. Balancing customer service with sales targets, staying on top of stock levels, and keeping the store running smoothly will be part of what makes your contribution so important.

Retail Officer
What you will bring to the role
- A proactive, energetic and reliable approach—plus a genuine “customer first” mindset.
- Presentable, confident, team‑oriented attitude with natural curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Sales awareness and comfort engaging with visitors and supporting store promotions.
- Ability to stay motivated during busy periods and maintain strong visual merchandising standards.
- Strong communication skills, and confidence asking questions, assisting customers, and adapting quickly.
- Previous customer service experience is ideal—but not essential if you bring the right attitude.
Full-time role: You must have flexibility to work Tuesday to Saturday OR Sunday to Thursday, including peak visitor periods.
Part-time role: This role includes a set rotating roster. You must have flexibility to work two weekdays and one weekend day each week.
What is an essential requirement:
- Required to undertake work as a non-continuous shift worker on a rostered basis including weekdays, weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
