  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super

At DCCEEW, we’re tackling some of the most important challenges of our time — climate change, clean energy, water security, and the protection of our natural and cultural heritage. Behind every bold environmental initiative is a powerful digital ecosystem, and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Senior Platform Configuration Administrator who thrives on complexity, champions best practice, and wants their work to have real impact across NSW.

If you love solving problems, optimising systems, and ensuring technology quietly hums in the background while big things happen out front, this role is your next step.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be the trusted expert ensuring our platforms, applications and hardware are secure, stable, and ready to support a rapidly evolving organisation, with the opportunity to work across everything from CRMs to automated workflows and websites.

You will:

  • Lead Level 2 and 3 support for a diverse application and digital landscape
  • Manage platform and hardware lifecycle activities
  • Oversee standard operating environments, application delivery platforms, content management systems and production “go‑live” transitions
  • Resolve complex technical issues and minimise service disruptions
  • Shape and enforce technical standards, guidelines and best practices
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Department
  • Provide expert advice that strengthens architecture, scalability and performance

Every day, you’ll help keep critical systems running smoothly so our teams can focus on protecting the environment, supporting communities, and driving NSW toward a sustainable future.

About You

You’re someone with deep experience across application architecture, cloud platforms and the software development lifecycle, who enjoys tackling complex problems and turning them into elegant, practical solutions. You communicate clearly, collaborate naturally and strike the right balance between operational demands and project priorities. Your strong cyber‑security awareness underpins everything you do, and your relevant platform certifications reflect your technical credibility. Above all, you’re motivated, curious and always looking for ways to improve how things work.

Essential Requirements

  • Certifications relevant to the Platform(s) being administered
