If you enjoy untangling complex application issues, keeping critical platforms running smoothly, and making technology work better for people, this role puts your skills where they truly matter.
At DCCEEW, technology underpins how we protect the environment, manage water resources and drive the transition to a net‑zero future. We’re looking for a Support Analyst – Applications & Platforms to help keep our digital services and channels reliable, secure and ready for what’s next.
About the role
As a Support Analyst, you’ll be the first line of defence for the applications and platforms our people rely on every day to support environmental protection and inform the public. You’ll:
- Triage incidents and respond to service requests
- Restore services quickly when things go wrong
- Support virtual, cloud and hybrid environments
- Deploy system changes safely across test, staging and production environments
- Automate routine tasks using scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code practices
- Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and improve services
This is a hands‑on role with real variety — from incident response and problem management to continuous improvement and automation, across CRMs, websites, automated workflows and more.
About You
You don’t need to tick every box, but you’ll likely bring experience in application and/or infrastructure support, with confidence working across cloud, virtual or hybrid environments. You’ll have strong incident and problem‑management skills, a customer‑focused mindset and the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure. We’re looking for someone who is curious, resilient and keen to keep learning, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Relevant tertiary qualifications are welcome, but practical, hands‑on experience is just as important.
Cyber security is everyone’s responsibility at DCCEEW. In this role, you’ll play an active part in protecting the Department’s digital resources and supporting a strong security posture.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or significant experience in application and technology support
