Our Energy Infrastructure team (EID) is currently seeking to appoint a Coordination and Planning Officer to support divisional performance and continuous improvement.
About The Role
This role is responsible for managing and coordinating a range of business and executive support services, ensuring the efficient functioning of the office and the seamless execution of high-level priorities.
The role supports coordination within the Executive Director’s Unit, ensuring resources, priorities, and timelines are effectively aligned to meet divisional objectives. It plays a key role in supporting the timely delivery of, and responses to, key initiatives, ministerial priorities, and emerging work programs by providing strategic coordination, oversight, and reporting.
The role proactively identifies, monitors, and addresses emerging issues, risks, and interdependencies that may impact divisional performance or delivery. It works collaboratively across the Division and the broader Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability (ECCS) group to strengthen communication, improve end-to-end processes, and promote greater consistency in approaches and outputs.
Through strong stakeholder engagement and a focus on continuous improvement, the role contributes to enhancing operational effectiveness, governance, and the overall customer experience.

About You
To be successful in the Coordination & Planning Officer role, you will have proven experience providing high-level executive support, preferably at senior executive level, along with strong skills in business administration, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Your highly collaborative, outcomes-focused approach will see you work effectively across teams and with key internal and external stakeholders to manage priorities, respond proactively to emerging issues, and resolve challenges.
Your excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion are essential. A strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement will see you succeed in this role.
You will have extensive experience coordinating executive briefings and managing correspondence, including the preparation of high-quality written materials, submissions, and responses to Ministerial and Parliamentary requests. This includes the ability to synthesise information from multiple stakeholders, ensure alignment with policy and organisational priorities, and deliver clear, well-structured advice to senior leadership.
You will demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous improvement, using data, feedback, and best practice to enhance processes, strengthen governance, and support the achievement of divisional and organisational objectives.
