  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $113,574 to $125,720 pa plus superannuation

 

The Energy Infrastructure team is currently seeking to appoint a Policy & Project Officer to support their team in providing regulatory and commercial advice within the project space.

 

About the Roles

The roles play a key part in coordinating complex projects and supporting high-level cross-agency initiatives that shape the future direction of NSW’s energy infrastructure. The Energy Infrastructure division is recruiting four (4) Policy & Projects Officers to provide strategic policy advice and lead critical projects on energy Reliability and Security, Gas and Fuel Security, REZ Networks and Access, and Development & Performance.

 

Role 1:

As a Policy & Projects Officer in the Reliability and Security Projects team, you will provide strategic, evidence based advice on government interventions to maintain a reliable and secure supply of electricity, and contribute to the delivery of critical energy security and reliability projects. You will apply policy and commercial analysis to inform intervention design, assess options and risks, and support effective implementation.

 

Role 2:

As a Policy & Projects Officer in the Gas and Fuel Security team, you will support a complex portfolio of gas and fuel security projects and policy reforms, providing high-quality regulatory, commercial and strategic advice to Ministers and senior executives on gas supply, infrastructure development and government policy and actions.

 

Role 3:

As a Policy & Projects Officer in the REZ Networks and Access team you will contribute to leading policy reforms to deliver new renewable energy zones, network projects and access schemes to connect large scale wind and solar. 

 

Role 4:

As a Policy & Projects Officer in the Development & Performance team you will focus on safety, technical and licensing policy frameworks for electricity and gas networks and gas pipelines in NSW. You will act as a conduit between the technical experts and the regulatory framework. You will also be highly skilled in regulatory policy development, collaborative and facilitate discussions on technical issues with disparate stakeholders about complex issues.

Essential Requirements 

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
