The role

You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, secure and appropriately regulated environment across Sydney Olympic Park by overseeing precinct security operations and ranger services, supporting daily activities and major events. This includes leading security planning and operational delivery for high-profile events, managing contracts and electronic security systems, and undertaking Precinct Manager (Chief Warden) responsibilities when required.

You will provide strong leadership to a multidisciplinary team, coordinate emergency and incident responses, manage security budgets and contracts, and work closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure public safety, asset protection and effective event delivery.

What you will bring to the role

  • Demonstrated experience leading security operations within large, complex or event-based environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate across emergency services, contractors and government partners
  • Proven people leadership capability, including performance management, coaching and operational decision-making under pressure

 

What is an essential requirement:

  • NSW Security Licence 1A and 2A
  • Ability to hold a NSW Security Master Licence. 
  • Qualifications in Security and Risk Management or demonstrable work experience
  • Working With Children Check and Criminal History Check
  • Current SafeWork NSW White Card
  • Current Traffic Management qualifications (Implement and Prepare Work Zone)
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID003) qualification or equivalent
  • Ability to provide on-call support after hours
