  • Ongoing full-time opportunity, 35 hours per week
  • Based in Parramatta with flexible working options supported
  • Salary ranges from $ 149,739 to $ 173,174 + superannuation + leave loading 

 

At DCCEEW, we are seeking a strategic technology partner who can bring clarity, influence, and leadership to the way our organisation engages with IT.

 

About the Role

As the Principal Business Partner, you will work closely with leaders across the organisation to understand priorities and ensure technology initiatives deliver meaningful value. You will identify opportunities for digital uplift, strengthen business relationships, guide conversations on emerging trends, and contribute to a partnering function that is collaborative, proactive and outcome‑focused.

 

About You

You are a trusted advisor with experience at the intersection of technology and business strategy. You engage confidently with senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, and translate complex technology issues into clear commercial outcomes. You think analytically, communicate with clarity, and bring a collaborative style that supports organisational digital maturity.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in IT business partnering, consulting or advisory roles, including direct senior level engagement.
  • Strong capability to influence technology‑related planning and shape demand for IT services.
  • Experience developing or guiding digital and IT initiatives, including business cases or investment proposals.
  • The ability to assess emerging technology trends and understand their business impacts.
  • Proven skill in managing competing priorities, dependencies and expectations in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly.

 

Essential requirements

  • Degree qualification in a relevant Technology discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
