  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 plus super

We’re looking for a motivated Senior Policy and Project Officer who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and can confidently guide a team to deliver meaningful outcomes.

 

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping strategic policy directions, supporting major reform programs, and ensuring the effective implementation of initiatives that matter to communities, industry and government.

 

You’ll be a trusted advisor—supporting Ministerial and Executive decision‑making, leading project delivery, and contributing to legislative and strategic reform programs. You’ll also play a key role in supporting and guiding team members to meet deadlines and achieve high‑quality outcomes.

About you

  • Projects and Policy work – you have detailed knowledge and expertise in ensuring the delivery of key projects and legislative and policy initiatives.
  • Stakeholder influence – Experience in providing cultural advice, support and guidance to stakeholders whilst simultaneously building a high degree of trust with and for Aboriginal peoples, communities and entities in NSW.
  • Strategic capability – Extensive knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and review of Aboriginal cultural strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Cultural knowledge and experience – Knowledge, respect and understanding of Aboriginal cultural issues
  • Communication strength – Communicate with clarity, empathy and cultural awareness.
