The Planning Land Use Strategy, Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) team are the driving force behind the Department's strategic planning, policy, rezoning, and infrastructure projects, all aimed at making New South Wales a better place to live.

We take pride in our comprehensive approach to planning and development with our teams actively managing the housing and employment land supply pipeline through strategic planning and policy development, state-led statutory rezonings, and infrastructure planning.

 

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Senior Planning Officer Local Planning & Council Support to join our Planning, Land Use Strategy, Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) team at the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

 

This role is responsible for high quality, efficient and timely statutory and strategic planning outcomes enabling the delivery of homes and jobs. This includes key projects with a focus on planning delivery, local and regional planning matters and collaboration with local councils and key stakeholders, to help manage risk and ensure Government objectives are achieved.

 

You will bring demonstrated knowledge of relevant environmental assessment and planning legislation to make informed recommendations on the merits of planning proposals, prepare State rezoning proposals, and provide advice to address complex emerging urban issues.

 

Essential Requirements include university degree qualification or a qualification deemed by the Secretary to be equivalent and willingness to travel and Class C Driver Licence.
