  • 2 Year Temporary Full-Time Opportunity, 35 hours per week.
  • Parramatta based with flexible working supported
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $113,574 to $125,720+ Super

 

Our Digital Information Office is currently seeking to appoint an IT Network Specialist who will be focusing on the successful operation of network infrastructure, and will also be responsible for the management, installation, monitoring and maintenance of the organisation’s ICT network and associated hardware and software which underpins the department’s IT systems.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in a similar position, including a detailed and current knowledge of Cisco routed networks, Cisco switching, Meraki switching and Wi-Fi, and other major technologies. CCNP level preferred
  • Experience working with a high level of autonomy whilst developing and delivering ICT solutions, projects and programs (ideally within a large multifaceted business enterprise) and have hands-on experience in working in data centres and client sites.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and popular network products offered by telecommunications providers and their application in a large organisation.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and demands.
  • SD-WAN and Cloud Networking knowledge and experience is highly desirable, preferably using Fortinet, Silver Peak Unity Edge Connect.
  • You are a strong team player who values collaboration and building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • You will be confident to analyse and interpret information to allow effective forward planning ensures operational requirements are met.
  • As part of daily work you may require to attend DIO managed sites and Data Centre having a driver’s license will be an advantage.

 

 

What is an essential requirement:

This role may include being on-call, weekend and after-hours work.
