About the Team

The Financial Administration team within DCCEEW Water Group Finance provides centralised, consistent and governance‑focused financial processing services across the division. The team manages the end‑to‑end requisition‑to‑pay function, including purchase order creation and compliance, invoice processing, goods receipt management, GL and WBS coding integrity, and MyWorkZone (mwz) support. By standardising processes previously delivered in a fragmented way, the team reduces financial risk, strengthens audit compliance, improves budget visibility, and enhances data accuracy.

In addition to transactional processing, the team acts as a key advisory support function, assisting stakeholders to navigate financial policies and systems, resolve issues efficiently, and implement continuous process improvements that support sustainable and scalable service delivery.

About the role

As a Performance Support Officer, you will support project teams with day‑to‑day finance and administration tasks, helping to keep project reporting accurate and on track.

The Financial Administration team is managing an increased workload due to expanded end‑of‑month (EOM) reporting, ongoing Power BI reporting development, and the expansion of service delivery across additional company codes. This has increased transaction volumes, reporting complexity, and stakeholder engagement.

You will provide project administration and financial reporting support to project managers and coordinators, with regular use of MyWorkZone (mwz), CS Connect ticket management, and the WaterNSW licensing platform, along with invoice processing, cost allocations, procurement, and record management.

About you

You are organised, reliable and comfortable working with numbers, systems and deadlines. You enjoy supporting others and ensuring records and reporting are accurate.

You are willing to learn new systems, manage competing priorities and ask questions when needed.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience processing invoices, maintaining financial records or supporting reporting
  • Good Excel skills and confidence using financial systems
  • Strong attention to detail and an organised approach
  • Clear communication skills and a team‑focused mindset
  • Ability to support compliance requirements and work effectively with project teams
