- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $109,102 to $120,542 + super
DCCEEW is seeking a motivated and collaborative Coastal Project Officer to help deliver of high impact coastal programs and projects across NSW.
In this role, you will complete analysis, provide advice, and support and contribute to initiatives that support effective program delivery, strategic policy development and best practice coastal management across the NSW coastal environment.
As a part of the Marine Coast Estuary and Flood Team, you will contribute to the integrated management of coastal hazards and estuary health to help coastal communities, local councils and partner State agencies. Your work will support evidence based decision making, strengthen risk management approaches, and help communities adapt to the impacts of coastal climate change.
About You
To be successful in the role you can:
- Apply technical knowledge of coastal and estuarine processes, and coastal management strategies to various projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrate knowledge of coastal management policies, legislation and guidelines relevant to NSW.
- Communicate clearly in written materials, and work effectively and professionally with colleagues, councils and stakeholders.
- Apply good organisation and project management skills to coordinate tasks, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Essential requirements
- Appropriate level tertiary qualifications in environmental science, engineering,, natural resource management or related discipline.
- Current Driver License – Class C, and willingness to travel.
