- 4 year Temporary fulltime role at 35 hours per week plus FlexTime

- Salary range from $183,848 to $208,267 plus super and leave loading
EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.
About the Opportunity
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to shape and deliver best-practice communication outcomes for a generational infrastructure project. You will lead an integrated communications team to design and implement communication strategies and initiatives that protect project reputation, ensure statutory compliance and foster community support and awareness of the project. Working closely within a multidisciplinary project team and with the EnergyCo Community Engagement and Media team, you will play a central role in promoting EnergyCo’s strategic narrative, responding to emerging public issues and ensuring high quality external communications across a range of channels.
About You
You are an experienced communications professional with a strong track record delivering and evaluating strategic communication programs, ideally within complex infrastructure environments. You bring sound judgement, critical thinking and a proactive approach to identifying and managing risks and issues. You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working closely with other disciplines to deliver critical project milestones.
You are a confident communicator and relationship builder with excellent written and oral communication skills. With demonstrated experience in media, issues management and communications strategy, you combine strategic insight with practical delivery capability and a genuine commitment to transparent, respectful communication with communities and stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or senior level experience in communication, public relations, journalism or similar experience in major infrastructure, government sector and/or large organisation.
• Current Australian Drivers licence (Class C minimum) and willingness to travel to regional locations.

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
