EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
Our EnergyCo NSW Organisational Effectiveness and Culture team are seeking a Business Intelligence and Data Analyst to play a key role in strengthening workforce analytics and business intelligence capability across the organisation. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of reporting frameworks, performance indicators and analytical tools that transform complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights. Working closely with stakeholders, you will support evidence-based decision-making, enhance workforce planning and improve organisational effectiveness. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape data-driven strategies, support statutory and performance reporting, and contribute to initiatives that enable the organisation to meet its strategic objectives

About You
You are a curious and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for turning complex data into meaningful insights. You bring experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau, along with foundational SQL skills and familiarity with organisational modelling tools such as Org.Modeller (or similar). You are confident analysing workforce metrics and developing performance indicators that align with business objectives.

You are also an effective communicator who can translate technical findings into clear, practical recommendations for diverse stakeholders. Comfortable managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment, you build strong working relationships and stay up to date with emerging technologies and analytical approaches to continuously enhance capability and impact.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.  EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
