  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super

 

Our Reconnecting River Country Program (RRCP) is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer in a temporary capacity to 31 December 2026.

The Water Group leads the NSW Government in providing confidence to communities and stakeholders with the transparent stewardship of water resources, provision of services and reforms that support sustainable and healthy environments, economies and societies across NSW.  

About You

The Senior Project Officer manages and coordinates governance, assurance and program management of complex projects within NSW’s Reconnecting River Country Program to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of continuous improvement and approval objectives.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of program governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate the delivery of program assurance processes in accordance with established assurance frameworks.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of program delivery documentation to align with project management policies and procedures
  • Lead end-to-end project planning and delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, within scope and to quality standards.
  • Conduct research and provide evidence-based advice to inform project planning, decision-making and emerging issues.
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships through proactive communication, negotiation and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance, including risks, benefits realisation and impact, to drive continuous improvement and successful milestone delivery.
