The role works closely with functional leads and is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation and contract management in accordance with EnergyCo-related procurement policies and guidelines.
You are an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial acumen and a practical, hands‑on approach to delivering complex, high‑value sourcing and contract activities. You confidently manage the full procurement lifecycle from strategy development through to negotiation, risk assessment and contract management, ensuring value‑for‑money outcomes and alignment with NSW Government procurement and probity principles, contract law and industry standards.
You have hands-on experience and are willing to prepare from scratch, reviewing and finalizing briefs, reports, presentations, and procurement related documentation (such as tender packs, evaluation reports, negotiation pack, contract variations) ensuring procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements are fully compliant to provide an audit trail for probity and audit purposes.
You have strong Microsoft Excel data analytics skills to analyse large datasets, deriving insights to inform tender evaluations and recommendations.
You work effectively within established governance frameworks, ensuring every procurement activity is compliant, well‑documented and consistent with organisational financial guidelines and procedures. You identify procurement risks early, analyse market conditions, and navigate sensitive commercial issues to support sound and timely decision‑making.
Collaboration is one of your strengths, giving you the ability to build productive working relationships with project teams, internal stakeholders, and suppliers, and you communicate clearly and professionally to influence, resolve issues and maintain momentum in high‑pressure environments. You manage multiple priorities with ease and adapt quickly to changing demands, enabling you to support fast‑paced project delivery.
