The role
As the Analytics & Reporting Specialist, you’ll be hands‑on in designing, building and running the Department’s analytics, reporting and ETL solutions – making sure data is accurate, trusted and genuinely useful for the business. We are seeking a candidate with strong hands‑on technical capability, including:
- Advanced SQL expertise, with the ability to write complex queries involving multi‑table joins and data extraction
- Experience in data transformation and data cleansing, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality
- Hands‑on experience with Power BI, including the development of reports, dashboards, and data visualisations
You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand risks and opportunities, then translate those needs into well‑designed reporting and data integration solutions that improve efficiency, resolve issues and support smarter decision‑making.
You’ll also take accountability for the ongoing management of the reporting and data integration platforms, including upgrades, patching, monitoring and coordinating regression testing. Alongside this, you’ll act as a go‑to technical expert – advising users and developers, supporting reporting requests through the ICT Helpdesk, developing guidance and training materials, and ensuring strong data management practices. You’ll be someone who can balance multiple projects, keep pace with emerging technologies, and work with vendors to deliver outcomes while managing risks and shifting priorities.

What you will bring to the role
- Strong capability in designing and delivering ETL, analytics and reporting solutions, with the ability to translate complex data and business requirements into reliable, high‑quality outputs that support decision‑making.
- Proven ability to manage and maintain enterprise reporting and data integration platforms, including upgrades, patching, monitoring and regression testing to ensure stability, performance and continuous improvement.
- Ability to act as a trusted technical advisor, providing clear guidance to users, developers and vendors, resolving reporting issues, and contributing practical documentation, training materials and process improvements.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Maintains meticulous attention to detail amidst high‑volume workloads, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables.
