EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
We have exciting opportunities to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NSW’s energy system. Our Strategy and Policy Division at EnergyCo are seeking two Senior Project and Policy Officers to provide regulatory, policy and strategic advice supporting delivery of EnergyCo’s major energy infrastructure projects and evolution of our role in the broader Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap. This role will help solve complex policy problems, navigate regulatory frameworks, and secure key decisions across government agencies, market bodies and other stakeholders.

About You
You are a strategic thinker with demonstrated experience in project and policy management (government, energy sector and/or major infrastructure experience highly valued but not essential!). You understand policy development, government decision-making and legislative/regulatory frameworks relevant to energy and/or infrastructure projects. You excel at delivering innovative, evidence-based solutions to complex challenges. Your ability to manage multiple workstreams and interdependencies ensures high-quality outcomes that align with organisational goals and broader government priorities.

A natural collaborator and influencer, you have strong stakeholder engagement skills, enabling you to work effectively with high-level decision-makers, internal advisors and key stakeholders. You thrive in dynamic environments, adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining a proactive and results-driven approach.

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.  EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
