The role:

We're looking for experienced procurement professionals to join our team and take ownership of medium to high-risk ICT sourcing and contract management activities. In this role, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation — providing expert advice, leading negotiations, and making sure our procurement activities deliver real value and stay aligned with NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework requirements.

You'll bring strong market knowledge and an up-to-date understanding of NSW Government ICT schemes and frameworks to help build procurement capability across the department. From developing sourcing strategies to managing supplier performance and navigating complex business needs, you'll play a central role in lifting the standard of how we buy and manage ICT.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Solid experience in ICT procurement and contract management, including knowledge of NSW Government ICT schemes and agreement frameworks
  • The ability to advise and influence stakeholders at all levels — including those who are time-pressured or new to procurement requirements
  • Experience leading end-to-end sourcing activities, from market analysis and planning through to negotiation and contract execution
  • Strong supplier relationship management skills, with a track record of driving performance and delivering value for money
  • The confidence to balance competing stakeholder views while building a culture of active contract management and benefits realisation
  • A commitment to staying current with ICT market trends, procurement legislation and policy in a dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail in documentation and reporting, with a clear understanding of probity and audit requirements

 

What is an essential requirement:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, business or equivalent relevant industry experience.
