About the role

The Director Strategic Advisory Services provides senior leadership and authoritative advice on some of the NSW Government’s most complex and high‑profile property projects and transactions. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role leads the delivery of whole‑of‑government property development, acquisition and divestment initiatives, ensuring outcomes align with government priorities, fiscal objectives and community expectations. The position plays a critical role in shaping strategy, governance, assurance and decision‑making across a diverse portfolio of state‑significant projects.

This role operates at the intersection of government, market and community, acting as a senior interface with Ministers, agencies, investors, developers and local stakeholders. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and cross‑agency partnerships to unlock value from government land, manage risk and deliver sustainable social, economic and environmental outcomes. Success in this role requires sound judgement, strong leadership and the ability to balance commercial, policy and public interest considerations in a highly visible and complex environment.

Your challenge will be to provide expert advice to achieve stakeholder support within the PDNSW leadership team and senior external stakeholders including government officials in other agencies to ensure complex and high-profile projects are delivered within time, cost and quality parameters.
