We are seeking an experienced Manager, Risk and Compliance to lead the implementation and oversight of the organisation’s Enterprise Risk Management framework.
This role is critical in ensuring strong governance, effective risk management, and compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements as the organisation prepares to make its initial investments.

About You
You are a strategic and detail-oriented risk and compliance professional with strong regulatory knowledge and experience in building practical risk management frameworks. You bring excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation.
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong experience in enterprise risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Sound knowledge of AML/CTF obligations, financial crime compliance and AUSTRAC reporting.
- Experience working with boards or board committees, particularly Audit and Risk Committees.
- Excellent analytical, advisory and report writing skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant experience for the oversight of effective risk management and compliance functions.
- Significant and relevant experience in risk management, financial services and compliance, together with a sound understanding of business systems improvement.
- Experience managing financial crimes policies, including fraud, AML/CTF and counterparty due diligence.
- Some understanding of public sector risk management policies and frameworks for general government sector entities.
- Experience (or capability) in establishing and leading a risk management function within a startup organisation.
- Exposure to risk management and compliance in the financial and/or investment sectors.
- Appropriate professional certifications and tertiary qualifications for the role.
