The role
The Senior Workplace Relations Advisor provides high‑level expertise in managing complex people matters, including dispute resolution and performance, conduct and behavioural management. The role requires a seasoned practitioner with substantial experience in workplace relations, a strong command of relevant legislation and policy frameworks, and the capability to guide leaders through sensitive matters. This role requires someone who can navigate competing stakeholder expectations, influence approaches to performance and conduct and maintain clear, confident communication in challenging circumstances.
To achieve success in this role, you will be adept at early intervention, recommending appropriate resolution pathways, and building trusted relationships across People & Culture and the broader organisation. You will play a strategic role in strengthening case management practices, improving systems and processes, and ensuring workplace issues are assessed, triaged and resolved with rigour and consistency. Above all, the role requires a professional who can deliver on challenging matters to a high standard – balancing legal, organisational and people considerations to achieve fair, timely and sustainable outcomes.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated experience in managing workplace relations matters.
- Proven capability in managing complex people issues, including triages of grievances, risk assessments, evidence gathering, documentation and resolution planning in a large, multifaceted organisation.
- High level of professional judgement and discretion, with the ability to handle confidential information, navigate contentious issues and effectively influence stakeholders.
- Experience delivering alternative dispute resolution processes, such as facilitated discussions and ensuring procedural fairness.
What is an essential requirement
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or strong knowledge of human resources management issues and relevant legislation, regulations, policies and systems.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and resolving complex people management issues, including stakeholder engagement, relationships/ expectations management.
