  • Permanent Full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity
  • Located in Parramatta, location upon negotiation across NSW, hybrid working supported
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $149,739 up to $173,174 pa plus superannuation.

 

Are you an experienced regulatory leader ready to shape the future of compliance in a rapidly evolving energy landscape? This is a unique opportunity to drive impactful regulatory outcomes across New South Wales.

 

As Manager, Compliance & Enforcement, you will lead regulatory strategy and operations across compliance and enforcement activities within ECCS. You’ll design and enhance frameworks, tools, and systems while proactively identifying and managing compliance risks using a risk-based approach.

 

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and responsible operation of NSW’s energy and gas infrastructure, contributing directly to public safety and the state’s energy transition.

About You

You are an experienced regulatory professional with strong expertise in compliance and enforcement, ideally within energy, utilities or infrastructure industries. You understand legislative frameworks, risk-based regulation, and can confidently navigate complex policy environments.

 

You are a capable leader who builds high-performing teams and makes sound, evidence-based decisions in sensitive or high-pressure situations. With strong communication and stakeholder skills, you provide clear advice to senior leaders and build effective relationships across industry and government.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of government decision-making processes, regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to energy infrastructure and pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of the energy and pipelines industry and related regulatory and policy environment, including emerging issues and risks.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading licensing, compliance and enforcement programs, with the ability to provide authoritative strategic and regulatory advice.
  • Knowledge of organisational governance, Cabinet and Ministerial processes, and their application in shaping policy and regulatory outcomes.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams to achieve complex project or program objectives. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
