- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 - $142,665 pa plus superannuation.
Are you an experienced compliance professional ready to lead complex regulatory activities in a high‑profile, high‑impact sector? We’re looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to shape and drive risk‑based compliance and enforcement outcomes across the energy and gas industries.
In this role, you’ll lead sophisticated compliance activities, guide best‑practice regulatory approaches, and provide expert advice to support the organisation’s compliance strategy. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders to identify emerging issues, manage high‑risk investigations, and ensure consistent, high‑quality regulatory practice across the division.
Success in the role requires the ability to interpret complex information, manage multiple high‑priority matters under scrutiny, and drive consistency and excellence in regulatory practice across a diverse team.

About You
You’re a confident compliance professional who thrives in complex, fast‑moving regulatory environments. You know how to lead audits, inspections, investigations and incident responses and you align work with legislation, policy and best‑practice frameworks.
You’re skilled at sharpening systems and processes, spotting gaps and lifting the overall quality and consistency of compliance work. Your analytical mindset helps you turn complex or incomplete information into clear insights, practical advice and risk‑based strategies.
You’re also a natural coach supporting capability uplift, ensuring consistent regulatory practice and guiding others through tough compliance challenges.
Essential Requirements
- Knowledge of the gas and energy industry and its regulatory framework.
- Demonstrated experience in licence administration, regulation, compliance and enforcement within a regulatory environment.
- Experience in delivering projects and ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
