The role
This role is about making the most of Greater Sydney Parklands’ diverse sporting venues and open spaces. You’ll work with existing business arrangements while also looking ahead — identifying, shaping and delivering new sports‑related products, partnerships and revenue opportunities that support vibrant park experiences and a sustainable business model.

You’ll balance day‑to‑day business management with forward‑looking development, using strong commercial judgement, analysis and stakeholder collaboration to drive performance, manage budgets and lead change in established environments.

What you will bring to the role

  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach, with experience managing existing business operations while developing future‑focused programs and initiatives
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyse performance, develop business cases, set targets and manage budgets responsibly
  • Experience in business development, product or service design, and implementing change within established organisations
  • Confidence working independently, taking initiative and solving problems to progress opportunities from idea through to delivery
  • Proven ability to build and manage productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including sporting bodies, venues, service providers and internal teams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, translating commercial and analytical insights into practical actions and outcomes
  • A background in sports, recreation or venue‑based products is advantageous, but strong commercial acumen and product development experience are essential


What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualification in Sports Management, Business Management, or relevant business fields
  • Ability to travel and attend work at any site within the GSP portfolio
  • Available to be contacted outside of business hours and work outside of business hours and weekends
  • Current Driver Licence
