- Ongoing full time role at 35 hours per week + flex time

- Salary range from $173,121 to $191,993 plus super and leave loading
EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.
About the Opportunity

Beyond the banter, this is serious, purpose-driven work and EnergyCo’s Generation and Access team in the Commercial, Regulatory and Markets Division is currently seeking to appoint a Strategic Delivery Manager to lead the coordinated delivery of Renewable Energy Zone Access Schemes.
You’ll lead. Working closely with key partners - from the ASL and OECC to industry stakeholders - you’ll provide expert advice, coordinate access scheme activities, and make sure processes and systems are in place to run these schemes effectively. The Strategic Delivery Manager provides leadership and exercises significant innovation, initiative and judgement. They are accountable for a number of project workstreams including supporting the development, implementation, and management of access schemes within Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) to support wind, solar, and battery projects critical to mitigating climate change. The role oversees budget and resource management, exceeding $15m. Working collaboratively with other Managers in the organisation to ensure efficient and effective delivery of workstreams through implementation of best-practice policy development and project management is imperative.
The Generator Access team is a great group of people who love to solve all the complex issues that come with doing something novel (delivering the first Australian REZ!). About You
If you are a natural leader, someone who can form and build upon strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, someone who can consult with various levels of the organisation including providing strategic advice to senior management, and are confident with providing and preparing complex documentation and correspondence on a range of sensitive and contentious issues we would encourage you to read further and apply for this role! No two days are the same here.
As the successful applicant, you will lead and oversee all aspects of program and policy development and implementation across a complex portfolio of work, including preparation of policy papers and project plans; establishment of appropriate governance; and management of resources, budget and reporting to ensure project outcomes are delivered on time and on budget.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or relevant equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to develop and implement systems and processes to underpin high quality program delivery.
- Ability to plan and transition teams through change initiatives and evaluate progress and outcomes to inform future delivery.

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
