  • Workplace Health & Safety Traineeship with Manly Hydraulics Laboratory
  • Temporary full-time opportunity for up to 24 months
  • Manly Vale location (perfect opportunity for a Northern Beaches resident)
  • 35hrs per week, Monday to Friday with one day being a study day with TAFE
  • Salary dependant on level of schooling $507.10 to $784.90/week + super

Our Manly Hydraulics Laboratory (MHL) team have an opportunity for a Workplace Health and Safety Trainee to deliver efficient and effective customer focused testing and business services within the Division.

The Trainee will learn about Workplace Health & Safety on a commercial-based site and assist with the daily operations supporting the water meter testing function of MHL. The role will have a strong emphasis on safety and on the job training. In addition, there may be opportunity to learn about and participate in other areas of MHL’s activities, including, administration, SEQ, building large-scale models such as dams and breakwaters, and assist hydrographers in day-to-day work, including visiting waterways and coastal areas.  

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have the ability to build knowledge of Department business systems and technical processes.

You will also have the capacity to manage work activities in a timely manner to provide a quality service and meet a number of day-to-day key issues and changing priorities. 

You will be motivated and driven to maintain study timeframes to ensure successful completion of the course and on the job learning.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate IV Work Health & Safety qualification (to be completed during the traineeship).
  • Must have driver’s licence and own vehicle.
