  • Clerk Grade 9/10 - Salary ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super & leave loading 

 

The role  

The Information Technology Infrastructure and Service Lead plays a critical role in delivering highquality, customerfocused ICT support services across the Office of Sport’s diverse locations and technology environments. You will lead a highperforming team, drive a proactive service culture, and ensure the reliability, security and performance of core infrastructure, systems and platforms. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, strengthen operational efficiency, and support the organisation’s commitment to providing safe, modern and accessible digital services. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead, coach and develop a highperforming team, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. 
  • Drive a customercentric service culture, ensuring responsive, professional and proactive engagement with endusers. 
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and identify opportunities for service enhancement. 
  • Implement and maintain server virtualisation infrastructure to ensure high availability and efficient resource utilisation. 
  • Oversee disaster recovery operations and data backups to support business continuity. 
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, VPN, Microsoft Server and network environments, including identities, access and group policies. 
  • Implement and manage secure transport methods such as SSL and FTP. 
  • Manage cloudbased services and infrastructure, including Azure and AWS. 
  • Coordinate concurrent ICT infrastructure upgrades, installations and refresh projects. 
  • Engage and manage external vendors, ensuring performance against KPIs and alignment with standards. 

 

About You 

You are an experienced ICT infrastructure and service delivery professional with strong technical capability and a passion for customerfocused support. You bring demonstrated expertise across contemporary operating systems, directory services, networking technologies and cloud environments, along with proven experience managing ICT projects and operational risks. 

You are an effective people leader who builds capability, motivates teams and drives a culture of continuous improvement. You think analytically, solve problems proactively, and communicate with clarity and confidence. You thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of service, safety and operational excellence. 

 

Essential requirements 

  • Tertiary qualifications in an ICT discipline and/or relevant experience. 

  • The incumbent will be willing and able to drive throughout NSW. 

Key knowledge and experience 

  • Demonstrated extensive experience and skill in planning, provisioning and administering ICT systems and infrastructure. 

  • Proven project management experience in information technology or related environment, managing project, people, financial and operational risks and outcomes. 

  • Extensive and demonstrated expertise in contemporary operating systems, directory services, and networking principles, practices, and technologies.
