Join our Energy Infrastructure Division as an Assistant Project Officer where you’ll play a key role in managing and supporting committees and projects that drive the development and delivery of electricity safety.
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Assistant Project Officer to provide secretariat, project, research and administrative support for the development and delivery of a range of initiatives and industry guides and rules.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll play a vital role in driving project success by coordinating resources, managing documentation, and supporting the delivery of key initiatives. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to monitor progress, facilitate collaboration, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Through research, analysis, and effective communication, you’ll help identify emerging issues, inform decision-making, and contribute to the development of high-impact energy infrastructure solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with strong motivation and organisational skills, attention to detail and an interest in building a career in project delivery and operational management.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience providing administrative, secretariat and project support within a project or program environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear documentation and reports.
- Basic research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
- An understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, project management frameworks, systems and procedures.

Who we are
The Electricity Networks team administers and oversees safety and regulatory responsibilities under the Electricity Supply Act 1995 to ensure the safe construction, operation and management of electricity networks. The team works collaboratively to facilitate the safe role out of new projects under policies including the Consumer Energy Strategy and the NSW Electric Vehicle Strategy.
