The role

This is a newly established role sitting at the heart of one of Australia's most exciting urban development projects — Bradfield City. You'll be responsible for building BDA's social sustainability capability from the ground up, embedding social impact into how the organisation plans, invests and delivers as the city takes shape.

Working across the organisation and with partners in government, industry, education and community — including First Nations stakeholders — you'll develop the frameworks, forge the partnerships and influence the decisions that turn social sustainability into something real and measurable for the people of Western Sydney. You'll also prepare strategic and governance documentation that supports Board-level oversight and accountability, placing you at the centre of how BDA leads on social outcomes.

  • Strong relationship skills across diverse stakeholders — from executive teams and project leads to community organisations, First Nations partners and government

  • The ability to manage competing priorities — balancing long-term social impact goals with fast-moving delivery demands
  • A genuine interest in promoting a purpose-driven culture where social sustainability sits alongside economic and environmental considerations — and the persistence to bring others along with you
