The role

Senior Digital Risk Governance Officer role focuses on making digital risk visible, understood, and well managed across the Branch so leaders can make confident, informed decisions. It brings together risk, audit, and governance insights, supporting teams to navigate digital change while staying aligned with departmental commitments and risk appetite. The role enables trusted digital outcomes by translating complex risk information into clear, practical advice.

The role balances competing priorities in a fast‑moving technology environment, influencing stakeholders without direct authority and responding to evolving threats and expectations. Through strong collaboration, this role strengthens the consistency and quality of risk and audit practices, tracks remediation actions, and ensures material issues are escalated appropriately to support delivery, accountability, and transparency across the Branch.

This role also presents an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team, giving you a genuine opportunity to help shape how the function works from the ground up. Alongside supporting day‑to‑day activities, you’ll contribute to building fit‑for‑purpose frameworks and helping set strong foundations for how digital governance is delivered into the future.
