About the role

The Senior Planning Officer Post Approval is responsible for the review of post approval documentation for various State significant transmission and renewable energy projects, focusing on EnergyCo’s transmission infrastructure projects; enabling the construction of renewable energy projects and maintaining a high standard for environmental management.

 

You will review a high volume of post approval documentation for transmission and other renewable energy post approval matters and also review policy and identify opportunities to enhance processes and systems, aiming to improve efficiency in both quality and turnaround time for proponents and the Department—while maintaining the highest standards of outcome delivery.

 

The role will assist in the development of best practice post-approval guidance and support material for the community, developers, key stakeholder groups, government agencies and internal development assessment teams.

You will bring demonstrated knowledge and experience of the workings of government, applicable legislation and regulations such as the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and experience with delivery of infrastructure projects and management of post approval matters.

 

A degree qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or related discipline (essential).
