Step into a dynamic legal role at NSW Office of Sport with a Part-Time Opportunity!

  • Salary ranges from $125,720 to $130,542 (pro rata) + super & leave loading. 
  • Temporary part-time (4 days, 28 hrs) 12 month opportunity with the possibility of extension 
  • Based at Sydney Olympic Park location – flexible work arrangements will be considered. 

  

About the role 

Step into the dynamic world of sport as a Legal Officer at the Office of Sport, where your days will be anything but routine. You will provide legal services across a generalist practice in 5 core workstreams - advisory, commercial and property transactions, legislation, litigation and other government business.

About you  

Our ideal candidate will have experience in providing written legal advice and experience in one or more of the following: drafting commercial and property agreements   and other transactional documents, conducting litigation , advising on statutory interpretation and legislative reform or handling government matters including privacy, applications made under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, call for papers  and other government specific issues. 

Your communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and provide clear and comprehensive legal advice that helps steer the Office of Sport towards its strategic priorities. You will need to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining a high standard of ethical practice and integrity. Essential Requirements

  • Formal qualifications include admission as a legal practitioner in NSW.
