The role

As a Principal ICT Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex ICT facilities and telecommunications work packages across NSW, coordinating multiple projects and managing a state-wide program of work. You will work closely with technical specialists, delivery partners and stakeholders to ensure ICT components of facilities projects are delivered safely, on time and to agreed standards.

You will manage the full project lifecycle across multiple concurrent initiatives, including planning, scheduling, risk and issue management, budget oversight and reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining delivery momentum across a diverse and high-profile portfolio while supporting future planning through effective pipeline and schedule management.

What you will bring to the role

• Proven experience delivering complex ICT projects, particularly in facilities, telecommunications or infrastructure-related environments, managing multiple work streams concurrently
• Strong project management expertise, including developing project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and status reporting in line with established methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and stakeholder expectations
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, resolve issues and maintain productive working relationships across technical and business teams
• Experience identifying, assessing and managing project risks and dependencies, and implementing practical mitigation strategies across the project lifecycle
• Strong analytical capability, with the ability to provide clear, timely advice and reporting to senior leaders to support decision-making

What is an essential requirement:

• Demonstrated, relevant professional experience using project management methodologies, preferably including a recognised qualification in PRINCE2 and agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience using project management tools (ideally Microsoft suite of products).
• This role may include being on-call, weekend and after-hours work.
