About the role
We are a NSW Government science branch working in collaboration with NSW state agencies, local government, academia, industry and communities. We are committed to delivering rigorous science that strengthens policy and management decision making through decision ready scientific data, tools, advice and research.

The Senior Scientist is responsible for providing advanced technical, scientific and analytical support for scientific programs. The Estuaries and Catchment team within the Water Wetlands and Coastal Science Branch contribute to improving NSW water science and delivering scientific evidence to inform policy decisions and management actions.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Relevant science degree qualification.
• Well-developed knowledge and experience in developing and delivering rigorous science projects.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and work with technical and scientific information in the context of environmental programs including operational policy and program development.
• Contribute to the development of project management methodologies and processes that improve productivity, encourage innovation and develop teamwork to enhance the delivery of science
