This isn’t your typical project role. As our Senior Project Officer, Evaluation, you’ll sit at the centre of strategy, policy, and delivery—turning data into powerful insights that influence decision-making at the highest levels.

 

You will:

  • Lead evaluation design and delivery across major programs, policies and projects
  • Turn evidence into insight, helping shape government investment decisions
  • Partner with senior leaders, delivery teams and external providers
  • Drive continuous improvement through smart analysis and forward-thinking recommendations
  • Tell the story of impact, communicating complex findings in meaningful ways

 

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our initiatives deliver real outcomes for communities, the environment and future generations.

 

About You

 

You’re analytical, curious, and confident navigating complexity. You enjoy asking “why,” challenging assumptions, and influencing outcomes.

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong experience in evaluation, performance measurement, or policy analysis
  • Can translate complex data into clear, compelling insights
  • Brings strategic thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Builds trusted relationships and confidently engages stakeholders at all levels
  • Has relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience

 

Essential Requirements

 

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience in a senior technical role in leading the measurement, modelling, reporting and/or evaluation/review of policy, strategy, portfolio, program or project outcomes and benefits.

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state, to support the environment, communities and industry.
