  • Senior Team Leader Outreach and Partnerships (Environment Officer Class 12)
  • Ongoing full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity
  • Location is flexible; however, preference will be given to candidates based within the Murray–Darling Basin due to the travel requirements of the role
  • Office attendance is required a minimum of three days per week
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $152,677 to $167,562 + super

 

Our Water for the Environment team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Team Leader to lead a high-performing team delivering quality stakeholder engagement, communications and partnerships across communities, including strong and meaningful partnerships with First Nations people.

This role requires demonstrated experience in First Nations engagement and partnership, along with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills within the water or natural resources sector, including experience working with central media.

As part of a newly established team, you will be comfortable operating in an evolving environment, with the ability to manage change effectively and bring structure to emerging priorities. You will bring strong strategic thinking, planning and organisational skills to support the coordination and delivery of a complex and developing body of work, including programs such as Healing Country.

About You

The successful candidate will be an active member of the leadership team, contributing across the Branch to identify opportunities, drive value-add initiatives and support integrated ways of working. The role also encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including:

  • budget and resource management
  • workplace health and safety oversight
  • training, mentoring and team capability development
  • project and workload management
  • internal and external stakeholder relationship management
  • providing strategic and operational support to the Director.
