About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer to support the delivery of new visitor facilities in the Blue Mountains Branch.
The role will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of a wide range of new visitor facilities that will support the establishment Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area as a ‘must visit’ destination.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the initiative, ability and desire to work in a small, dynamic and productive team with experience in delivering construction projects within a natural resource setting or those with remote area logistic challenges.
About You
You will have strong project management skills with solid experience in the fields of landscape construction, recreational infrastructure development or a related field. Your commitment to protecting the environment, coupled with a strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high quality projects will be key to your success in this role. Your strong communication skills will be critical as you will be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of project outcomes. You'll enjoy working as part of a team but be able to work independently or with minimal supervision. Your enthusiasm will enable you to thrive and succeed in this diverse and dynamic role.
Essential Requirements
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
- Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
