The DCCEEW Finance Systems Support and Optimisation team are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Finance Systems Analyst to play a key role in helping our people get the most out of critical finance systems.
This is more than a technical role — you’ll be the trusted advisor who translates complex system functionality into practical, user-friendly solutions.
About the role
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for finance systems support, guiding users and improving how we work across the organisation.
You will:
- Provide Tier 2 support for the myWorkZone ERP system and act as the escalation point for complex issues
- Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide practical solutions
- Deliver training, guidance and demonstrations to build capability across diverse user groups
- Support system improvements and testing to ensure functionality meets business needs
- Enhance reporting, data quality and financial processes across the organisation
About you
You’re someone who thrives where systems, people and problem-solving intersect.
You will bring:
- Strong analytical capability — you can interpret data, identify issues and develop practical solutions
- A genuine customer focus — you enjoy working with people, understanding their needs and helping them succeed
- Confidence working in ambiguous environments with changing priorities and evolving systems
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical advice
- Experience supporting or working with finance systems / ERP environments
You’ll also demonstrate
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences
- A commitment to customer service and continuous improvement
- Sound understanding of financial processes and systems
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or similar
