  • Ongoing, Full-Time (35 hours per week) opportunity
  • Located within the Sydney CBD, hybrid working supported
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $149,739 up to $173,174 pa plus super

 

The Energy Security Corporation (ESC) is seeking to appoint a highly capable and experienced Program Manager to provide operational oversight and ensure the effective delivery of programs within the Consumer Energy Investments function.

 

This role is responsible for enabling disciplined, data-driven program management and supporting informed decision-making across a portfolio of consumer energy investment initiatives.

 

The successful candidate will operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality outcomes through strong governance, analytical rigour, and effective stakeholder engagement.

About You

The successful candidate will bring significant experience in program or project management within a complex and regulated environment ideally within the energy or climate change sector.

 

You will demonstrate strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into meaningful insights and recommendations that support effective decision-making.

 

You will possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to prepare clear, concise, and impactful materials for senior executive audiences. Your approach will be collaborative and consultative, enabling you to build and sustain effective stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organisation.

 

In addition, you will have strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes. A commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and maintaining high standards of service delivery will underpin your approach to your work.

 

Essential Requirements –

  • Energy and climate change sector experience, preferably in consumer energy program delivery. 
  • Demonstrated experience in monitoring overall program performance against program deployment plans and negotiating & influencing key stakeholders to support service excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated experience working with contract management procedures and policies to facilitate efficient service delivery.
  • Experienced in coordinating stakeholder meetings and working groups. 
  • Ability to work proactively and autonomously to undertake work tasks, apply judgment to escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning and scheduling.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
