Lead project document control, records and information management systems for major energy infrastructure delivery.

  • Temporary full-time opportunity - 35 hours per week plus FlexTime up to May 2030
  • Armidale, Newcastle or Sydney location & Hybrid working from home and office supported
  • Salary range from $129,464 to $142,665 plus super and leave loading

EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.


About the Opportunity

This is a key role on a major energy infrastructure project, joining a high-performing Project Controls team within EnergyCo supporting a large, multi-disciplinary workforce. As the Senior Project Records and Information Officer, you will lead the implementation and optimisation of document and records management systems, ensuring robust governance, quality assurance and alignment with project and organisational standards. Working across all workstreams, you will play a critical role in enabling project delivery through effective information management, stakeholder collaboration and continuous improvement of systems, processes and controls.

In addition to the above-mentioned locations, candidates based in Tamworth or within the New England REZ boundaries are also strongly encouraged to apply.

About You

You are an experienced document control professional with a strong background in records and information management within complex project environments, ideally across infrastructure or government sectors. You bring advanced capability in electronic document management systems, with hands-on experience in platforms such as InEight (Teambinder) and SharePoint and a solid understanding of workflows, registers and governance frameworks. Proactive and detail-oriented, you’re confident providing technical guidance, driving system improvements and supporting teams to adopt consistent, compliant document control practices.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications in project administration, records management or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders across all levels of the organisation

Who we are? 

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.  EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

 

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
