  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $ 142,665 + super

The role is about helping projects land well with people, particularly supporting Value NSW and its business partners to successfully transition to the new valuation system and customer facing portal. You lead and coordinate change activities end-to-end; planning how change is rolled out, working closely with stakeholders, and making sure people understand what’s changing, feel supported, and adopt new ways of working.

Day to day, you’re keeping multiple moving parts aligned across complex ICT projects and busy stakeholders with competing priorities. You help bring people on the journey by coordinating change plans, tracking readiness and progress, identifying risks and issues early, and providing clear, timely advice. You focus on making change manageable and consistent, while continuously improving how change is delivered.

What you will bring to the role

  • You bring the ability to make change simple and actionable—translating complex digital and business changes into clear, practical steps that help people confidently adopt the system and deliver a smooth transition to the new valuation system customer portal.
  • You’re a natural connector and influencer—building strong relationships, working collaboratively across diverse stakeholders, and helping teams stay aligned, informed and engaged even in fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • You are outcomes-focused and proactive—using insight, data and sound judgement to track readiness, identify risks early, and continuously improve how change is delivered so outcomes are achieved on time and embedded for the long term.

 

What is an essential requirement:

  • Project Management or Change Management certification (e.g. Agile, Prosci) or relevant experience.

 

About Us

Value NSW (VNSW), part of the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, delivers the valuation system for rating and taxing as well as compulsory acquisition compensation purposes via delegation of the Valuer General of NSW. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Making more than 2.7 million residential, rural, commercial and industrial valuations annually, with a total value of approximately $3 trillion as well as managing compulsory acquisition determinations in situations where government cannot reach agreement, totalling over $1 billion per annum
  • Delivering customer services and experience for 2.7 million landholders per annum – receiving up to 50,000 calls and many more enquiries
  • Monitoring, assurance and governance pertaining to the quality of the valuations undertaken relevant to both the Valuation of Land Act 1916 and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.

 

In addition, VNSW provides other specialised valuation activities, services and determinations for other cluster or statewide government partners – including being responsible for the delivery of all valuations for government property transactions as defined by the Government Property Framework and Treasurer’s Directions as well as more than $84 billion in government asset valuations for financial accounting purposes.
